Job Description
We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our team, at our fabulous Flint and Flint Dental Surgeons - Sheffield practice.
- Start Date: Available from June 2026, however a flexible start will be considered.
- Days and Hours: Surgery space available across 1 x day per week on a Friday.
- 6 surgery practice located close to Beauchief, Sheffield before the edge of the Peak District.
- Practice parking available
- Long standing practice team with a great local reputation
- Fully equipped practice with the latest technology.
- On-site dental laboratory
- One of the longest established family dental practices dating back to 1879.
- Great opportunity to collaborate with our General Dentists and practice team.
- Nurse support in practice
- Airflow system in each surgery

Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Current GDC registration as a Dental Hygienist
- Recognised Dental Hygienist qualification or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience in delivering preventative and restorative dental care
- Sound knowledge of infection control and sterilisation protocols
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and digital systems
- Commitment to professional development and continuing professional development (CPD)
**Desirable Qualifications:**
- Experience working within both NHS and private dental settings
- Advanced skills in specific therapeutic techniques or specialised areas of dental hygiene
- Experience in patient education and health promotion programmes
- Familiarity with current dental guidelines and best practice standards
- Mentoring or team leadership experience
