Job Description
Are you currently a Head of Legal looking for a new challenge and open to considering a 12 month fixed term contract? We're looking for a commercially-minded Head of Legal to lead our in-house Legal function during a period of maternity leave.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- leading on our legal strategy and being responsible for oversight of all legal matters across the group; including commercial agreements, employment matters, disputes, data protection and strategic projects
- managing our Legal team which includes a Senior Legal Counsel and Paralegal
- playing a central role in managing external legal advisers and legal spend across the Group
Reporting into our Group CFO, you'll partner closely with our Executive Leadership Team, Operations, Finance, HR/People, Procurement, Marketing and Clinical Governance functions, providing pragmatic, solutions-focused advice that balances legal risk with commercial objectives.

Qualifications
We welcome your application to our Head of Legal fixed term contract vacancy if you have the following qualifications and skills:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with a minimum of 7 years' PQE, gained in-house or in reputable private practice
- Proven experience as a Head of Legal, including supervising or leading legal professionals
- Strong experience managing a broad mix of commercial, corporate, regulatory and contentious matters independently
- Experience managing external legal advisers and controlling legal spend
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging across all levels
- Ideally experience within a healthcare, dental or other regulated industry, although this isn't vital.
