We have an exciting opportunity for a customer service focused Dental Receptionist, committed to providing high quality patient care, to join our friendly & experienced team at Shawlands Dental Care in Glasgow.
The essentials :
- Full time hours
- Monday 8am- 5pm, Tuesday 8am-5pm, Wednesday 8am-7pm, Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8:00am - 5.30pm
- Competitive pay: £12.88 per hour
- Free parking locally
- Be part of our welcoming reception team - we have 4 receptionist on at any time within our highly regarded NHS & private practice
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment. Duties of this role will include but not be limited to:
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records
- Respond to patient enquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary, providing information about services and booking appointments
- Process patient registrations and handle administrative documentation efficiently and accurately
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations, including GDPR
- Liaise between patients and clinical staff, ensuring clear communication and smooth patient flow
- Handle patient payments and process invoices
- Manage the reception area, keeping it clean, organised and welcoming for all visitors
- Support the wider dental team through collaborative working and a can-do attitude
About you
We’d love to receive your application to our Receptionist vacancy if you have the following skills and experience:
- Previous front of house Reception experience (ideally within a dental or healthcare setting, although this isn’t a must-have)
- A positive attitude, empathetic and well-organised
- Great communication skills, with a passion for delivering great service and building strong relationships with both colleagues and patients
- Proficiency with IT systems and practice management software
- Ability to multitask effectively whilst maintaining accuracy
