Biography
Usually found perfecting smiles with composite bonding, Invisalign, or a mixture of both, Mat has been using the latest minimally invasive techniques to transform people's smiles at the Cosmetic Dental Clinic for over 10 years. With his treatment ethos of doing as little as possible to the teeth to get a result that you are delighted with, Mat's reputation for exceptional attention to detail in the planning and execution of his treatments enables him to achieve perfect results for his happy patients. By adding composite to the teeth either just across the edges (edge bonding) or across the front surface too (composite veneers), Mat can help you achieve that perfect uniform and level look, almost always with no damage to the teeth at all. Mat also has vast orthodontic experience from over 10 years using the Invisalign system, and so can help you achieve straight teeth from a huge range of alignment issues, from minor tweaks to severe crowding, overbites to crossbites. You can have your teeth straightened, whitened, and the edges made uniform with composite bonding, with your specific goals at the forefront of the treatment planning, all by one experienced cosmetic dentist. Mat graduated from Newcastle University Dental School with the John Proctor Prize, awarded in recognition of outstanding operative skill, in 2006. He has since completed, and continues to complete many hours of further education in the field of cosmetic dentistry, including years-long hands-on cosmetic dentistry courses with internationally-renowned Chris Orr and Paul Tipton—for which he received a Special Commendation award in recognition of his clinical skill. Mat is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
