Biography

Callum qualified with commendation from Glasgow University in 2007. After leaving University he joined the RAF Dental Branch and served as a Dental Officer from 2007-2015. During this time he attained his Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties. He undertook a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons England. Callum left the RAF in 2015 to start Specialist Training in Restorative Dentistry. He was selected for the 5-year program at Liverpool Dental Hospital. During his time in Liverpool Callum has undertaken extensive further training in Periodontology, Endodontics and Prosthodontics. He sat his Specialist Exam in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics in 2019 and was awarded the Tyson Medal. He passed his Exit Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry in 2021. Callum is on the GDC specialist list for Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. After his specialist training Callum undertook further 1 year Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics. During this time he worked between Manchester and Liverpool and provided advanced levels of care for patients requiring complex rehabilitation after cancer surgery, developmental defects and trauma. He now holds an appointment as a full time NHS Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Liverpool Dental Hospital. He is lead clinician for the Cleft Lip and Palate Restorative Service. He has a particular interest in treating patients with developmental anomalies of the teeth and jaws. He accepts referrals for periodontal, fixed and removable prosthodontic treatment.
