Biography

Dr. Richard Horwitz is a periodontist completing his specialist training at The Eastman Dental Institute (UCL). He was awarded Certification in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry from the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh for Periodontics, and Fellow of the College of General Dentistry. Dr. Horwitz works in private practice in London (UK), focusing on periodontics and implant dentistry. Dr. Horwitz has a particular clinical special interest in aesthetic and functional crown lengthening, having authored a chapter on this topic for the British Dental Journal book "Tooth Wear: An Authoritative Reference for Dental Professionals and Students.” Other clinical interests are within implant dentistry, hard and soft tissue augmentation. He has also published numerous articles on the management of halitosis, alveolar ridge preservation, and peri-implantitis.
