Dr Maliheh Moeinian

GDC: 231760

Biography

Mali graduated from dental school in 2007 and soon after completed three years of postgraduate training at Barts and the London Dental Hospital to become a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry. She completed her PhD at Queen Mary University of London in 2017. She has presented her research findings in national and international conferences and has achieved Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Membership in Paediatric Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. As well as treating children and adolescents at Moor Park, Mali also works as a Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry at King’s College London and as a Specialist in Paediatric Dentistry at King’s Community Dental Services. Based on Mali’s experience, the main reason why patients are reluctant to see a dentist is due to bad dental experiences during childhood, resulting in patients seeing a dentist at a very late stage and usually with severe dental pain. Mali believes that a paediatric dentist has a key role in creating a comfortable and stress-free environment for children and adolescent patients so that the highest standard of dental care and maintenance of their oral health can be delivered. Also, seeing an expert and someone dedicated to patients of a young age group, is a long-term investment for both patients and their family. Mali is proud to be dedicated to children and adolescent dentistry and has received excellent feedback from her patients and their parents. Outside of work, she is a keen traveller, enjoys music and playing tennis.
