Biography

Arshad qualified with commendation at the University of Glasgow in 1978 and carried out ten years of postgraduate training in Glasgow, Cardiff, London and Sweden. He was the first NHS consultant in restorative dentistry in Wales and moved back to a consultant post in Glasgow in 1997. He established Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry in 2009 and it has developed into one of the best referral centres in the UK: recognised as Best Specialist Referral Practice at The Private Dentistry Awards 2010. He is involved in postgraduate teaching and examining, and is past president of the British Dental Association, West of Scotland and the Glasgow Odonatological Society.
