Dr Mark Cronshaw

Biography
Dr Cronshaw has used lasers in his daily clinical practice since 2005, and he maintains a busy private general practice in Cowes, UK. He was appointed a Professor a.c. At the University of Genoa, from 2014 to 2020, he taught level two master's in science courses in oral laser applications and lectures on oral laser applications worldwide. In March 2021, Dentistry Magazine awarded him the accolade of being one of the top 50 most influential clinicians and educators in the UK. As a researcher and active clinician, Mark has published over 20 recent scientific papers in evidence-based peer-reviewed journals on many clinical laser applications, including periodontics, orthodontics, oral mucositis in oncology, pain control, and delivery parameters in photobiomodulation therapies. His clinical interests are in phototherapy, aesthetic dentistry, holistic dental care, minimally invasive dentistry as well as the application of laser therapy as an adjunct to tissue regeneration and pain management in periodontics and surgery. Dr Cronshaw is actively involved in continued clinical research into laser-tissue interaction in regard to clinical phototherapy and is currently studying for a doctorate at Birmingham University.
