Biography

Steve qualified in 1989 at the University of Stellenbosch, near Cape Town, South Africa. He joined a multi-disciplinary dental practice in the UK shortly after qualifying and while there developed an interest and passion in Aesthetic/Cosmetic Dentistry. In 1998 he completed the one year postgraduate Certificate Course in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute in London, and joined Dentics Cosmetic Dental Studios, in the same year. He joined the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 1999 and attended their Scientific Session in Boston in 2001. He has continued to attend post-graduate courses, with a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry. He then worked in the West End before joining Moor Park Specialist Dental Centre in 2009. Steve has placed hundreds of Aesthetic restorations and is very experienced in Smile Makeovers and restoring tooth form and function, utilising restorative techniques such as cosmetic bonding, veneers and crowns. He also has an interest and experience in treating tooth surface loss and restoration of dental implants. He loves the art and science of cosmetic dentistry and working together with the patient to create an individual, natural, healthy, functional and beautiful smile. He is dedicated to remaining at the forefront of cosmetic/aesthetic dentistry striving to maintain the highest standard of care and attention to detail. And keeping up to date with the latest advances, techniques and materials. Outside of dentistry, his passions are his family, music and sport. He is married and has three children.
