Biography
After qualifying from Guy's Hospital in 1995, I moved to Brighton and went on to complete twelve months Vocational Training in a dental practice that focused on dealing with Oral Surgery cases often with Intravenous Sedation. I then spent four years working as a dental associate in family based practices within the Brighton and Hove area. Having gained wide experience working in both NHS and Private practices, I was keen to develop my interest in Oral Surgery. I therefore spent a year working at King's College Hospital, London working in the Oral Surgery & Maxillo-facial department dealing with emergencies and treating cases that had been referred by practitioners. During this time, I completed my MFDS qualification and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. This is the highest clinical qualification for dental practitioners. I continue to attend courses regularly in order to maintain my professional development. As a dentist I derive great satisfaction from helping nervous patients work through their fears and gradually encourage them to accept dental treatment. I firmly believe that time spent talking and listening to my patients is time well invested when the results mean my patients can enjoy the benefits of oral health. However, where a calm and gentle approach alone is not enough then I am happy to offer Intravenous Sedation to allow us to achieve our treatment goals.
