Biography

Professor Lars Sennerby graduated with a DDS degree from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden in 1986 and defended his PhD thesis "On the bone tissue responses to titanium implants" in 1991. He was trained in oral surgery at the Brånemark Clinic, Gothenburg, Sweden where he worked from 1989 to 2002. In 2000, Dr Sennerby was appointed professor of Oral Implantology at the University of Gothenburg. He has published extensively on clinical and experimental work related to dental implants and been the supervisor for sixteen PhD theses. He was co-founder and co-editor of Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Reseach from 1999 to 2020. Dr Sennerby performs implant surgery in private practice in Gothenburg, Sweden, Edinburgh, Scotland and in Feltre, Italy.
