Biography

Having worked as a dentist for almost twenty years, Dr Edwards now solely concentrates on treating dental implant patients. Patients can self-refer, alongside the majority of patients referred from local dentists and from within the practice. Dr Edwards qualified in 2001 from Bristol University and has taken part in many implant and cosmetic training programs in this country and abroad. She completed a Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the University of Bristol. The diploma in implant dentistry demonstrates the gold standard of implant training. With placing over a hundred implants a year, Dr Edwards can demonstrate an audited success rate of 97.94%. Dr Edwards is extremely approachable and will put you at ease should you have any worries. She ensures that you can contact her at any time during your treatment to discuss any concerns you may have no matter how small. It is also really important to be aware that rather than being treated by a visiting implant surgeon, Dr Edwards is a well-established local dentist. This means that should any maintenance issues occur in the future, we will always be able to take care of you at the practice. Dr Edwards chooses to use Swiss manufactured Straumann dental implants, the global gold standard in implant and aesthetic dentistry. They lead the industry in evidence-based implant, regenerative and aesthetic dentistry, with innovation backed by scientific evidence for over 35 years. Dr Edwards is able to carry out all the necessary types of bone grafting to create enough volume of bone without an onward referral. This includes separate bone block and sinus grafting. We also have a highly skilled team of dentists to ensure any other dental problems such as periodontal disease are rectified before embarking on any implant treatment.
