Biography
Joanne qualified in 2002 from one of the highest rated international universities for dentistry and moved to Plymouth in 2005. Joanne enjoys building good rapport with her patients providing a high standard of evidence-based dentistry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, making her one of the most sought after dentists in the area. Joanne has not only completed an optional post graduate masters degree in the most broad subset of dentistry, she was also awarded the Highest Achiever Award in her restorative dentistry masters degree and was a finalist in the dental clinical awards for restorative dentistry UK. As Deputy Clinical Lead of final year dental students at the Peninsula Dental School, Plymouth for many years, Joanne gained a number of teaching qualifications (AFHEA and MDTFEd) and was nominated for a Student and Staff Teaching and Representation Award (SSTAR Award). She is an associate fellow of the higher education academy and a member of the faculty of dental trainers. In addition, Joanne is Vice Chair of the Devon Local Dental Committee which is the main group representing dentists in the area. Joanne provides general dental care for individuals and families encompassing the highest standards of general dentistry – using evidence based teaching to ensure your smile is looked after for life. In addition to this Joanne has trained in providing cosmetic smile improvements through the use of Invisalign , short term braces and botox treatments for wrinkles and teeth grinding prevention In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
