Biography

Dr Sonia Joshi is a highly experienced, prize-winning Specialist Periodontist based at the prestigious 90 Harley Street Dental and Implant Clinic. With over 20 years of clinical experience and more than a decade in specialist practice on Harley Street, she has successfully treated thousands of patients with complex periodontal conditions around teeth and implants. After graduating with distinction from Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ in 2002—earning multiple prizes in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Restorative Dentistry, and Periodontics—Dr Joshi completed hospital roles in Oral Surgery and Restorative Dentistry before gaining Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004. She completed her specialist training at King’s College London and became GDC-registered as a Specialist Periodontist in 2010. During her training, she was awarded a Clinical Fellowship by the British Society of Periodontology. Her special interests lie in periodontal regeneration, mucogingival surgery, soft and hard tissue grafting, and the management of peri-implantitis. Dr Joshi is committed to helping patients preserve their natural teeth through a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach that considers both oral and systemic health. Beyond clinical practice, she serves on the executive committee of the Women’s Dentist Network and is one of eight independent clinical advisors for the Portman-Dentex group, supporting over 2,400 clinicians across 375 practices.
