Refer a friend Ireland T's & C's

We are pleased to offer our UK wide employee/self-employed ‘Word of Mouth’ Recommend Talent Scheme, where you have the opportunity to earn rewards, if you successfully recommend someone in your network (that you know personally or professionally) to PortmanDentex.

You may refer anyone suitable, to any PortmanDentex vacancy - not just your own department or practice.

*Practice Managers can earn a £350 reward in situations where they are instrumental in the recruitment of a General Dentist or Specialist, that has been recommended by another member of their immediate team, into their practice.

Reward amounts are based on the role filled regardless of how many hours or days the individual will work.

All reward payments paid to PortmanDentex employees will be paid less deductions of PAYE and National Insurance.

Self-employed Clinicians will be responsible for payment of any income tax, National Insurance contributions or VAT arrangements due in respect of any reward payment paid to them.

Please follow the process guidance outlined below to be eligible for the ‘Word of Mouth’ Recommend Talent Reward Scheme:

Option 1 - You can introduce someone from your network to any job vacancy on the PortmanDentex Careers website by using the refer a friend button. You just need their full name and email address.

Option 2 - You can direct the person you wish to recommend to the PortmanDentex Careers site to apply for a specific vacancy. The candidate will be asked to complete a short application and provide the full name of the person that recommended them to apply. Make sure they know it’s you!

Option 3 – You can also introduce some one if there is no obvious suitable vacancy, by emailing their CV to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) You’ll receive a reward if they are hired within 6 months of the date of your recommendation.

Terms and Conditions
  • To be eligible for a talent recommendation scheme reward payment, the recommendation should be made via the process outlined in the ‘How do I recommend Talent?’ process guidance (provided within this document).
  • A recommendation should be someone that you can vouch for either personally or professionally.
  • Any reward payment due will be paid the month after the successful completion of probation period for a PortmanDentex employee or after six months continuous service, if self-employed.
  • The reward payment will be paid into your bank account through payroll if you’re a PortmanDentex employee. If you're self-employed, a payment will be arranged through Finance on your regular pay date.
  • Your recommended candidate must be employed or engaged by PortmanDentex within 6 months following the date of the original recommendation to qualify for the reward payment and not be under notice of termination on the payment date.
  • If you leave the company before reward payment becomes due or are in your notice period, you will not be eligible for the reward.
  • A reward can be issued to permanent hires, temporary to permanent hires (if confirmed as permanent), and contracts of 6 months or more.
  • If a candidate is recommended by more than one person, the reward will be issued to the first person to make the recommendation.
  • Existing locum or temporary workers are not eligible to be recommended to the company.
  • If the individual referred is already known to the business, they will not be accepted as a recommendation i.e., an ex-employee (unless they left more than 12 months ago), or from another existing PortmanDentex practice. Any individual referred must have had no employment or contractual relationship with any PortmanDentex practice within the last 12 months, unless specifically exempted by the terms of a previous engagement
  • If a recruitment agency has previously introduced a candidate (within 6 months) then we are obliged by contract to pay the recruitment agency fee, and not the talent recommendation reward.
  • All recommendations will be contacted for a screening call and details held on file by the recruitment team. Referrers are required to maintain confidentiality regarding all referral activities and are subject to non-disclosure agreements to protect candidate privacy.
  • A record of the recommendation will be kept and honoured if the candidate is hired at a later stage.
  • If a candidate is being recommended by their potential line manager, a robust recruitment process involving at least one other interviewer, who is not known to the candidate, should be followed for the recommendation to be eligible for a reward. A recommended candidate whose qualifications are misrepresented by the referrer will not qualify for a referral fee. Additionally, any evidence of fraudulent activity will result in the disqualification of the referrer from the scheme.
  • If a family member or friend is being referred, the interviewer and decision maker should not be known to the candidate, to avoid conflict of interest.
  • PortmanDentex reserves the right to amend, modify, cancel or withdraw the scheme at any time and without notice.
  • This ‘Word of Mouth’ Recommend Talent scheme supersedes all previous recommendation schemes.
  • At all times PortmanDentex reserves the right to, in our absolute opinion, determine whether you are eligible to receive a reward and the amount of any such reward.
  • You may make as many recommendations as you like without limit and you will be eligible for a scheme reward in respect of each successful placement of a recommended candidate.
  • If you are considering recommending someone you used to work with at a previous employer, please be aware you may be under a restrictive covenant to approach them directly. If you think this might be the case, please refer to your previous contract of employment.
  • Talent recommendation payments can be nominated to a registered charity of your choice. The employee making the recommendation must request this via email to [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) before reward payment becomes due.
